The Hunger Games & Mirror, Mirror

The Hunger Games was well cast but disappointing. And I really enjoyed the silly romp that was Mirror, Mirror.

Le Skylab

Happily managed to see one film at the French Film Festival. Le Skylab is directed by Julie Delp — a feelgood nostalgic film about a large and chaotic family gathering.

Mutterings on the internet are saying this John Carter movie ain’t that bad. Maybe I will go see it after all.

I’m pretty keen to see this movie. I don’t like horror but I’ll make an exception for horror sci-fi, especially from the maker of Alien.

I Don’t Know How She Does It

I really enjoyed this film! So go ahead, you can think I’m some easily entertained vapid airhead if you want… Screw the rest of you, I’m GLAD this movie got made because it provided some fab entertainment for me.

X-Men 1,705 (or whatever it is up to now – the First Class one)

Middling. Not as bad as Wolverine but not as good as Batman Begins, which is what The Duffster said he was hoping it would be like. A darker scritchy imagining this is not. We shrugged our shoulders and mosied on out at the end credits, and barely discussed it on the way home.
